Meet Iris

Born and raised in Peru with Chinese ancestry, married to a Brazilian, and now calling Canada home—I cherish my rich cultural heritage. Speaking four languages allows me to connect with the world through empathy and appreciation. My diverse background shapes how I see beauty, interact with others, and express myself through photography. I aim to capture the essence of different cultures, emotions, and connections, turning moments into art.

Through my lens, I celebrate love in all its forms—the spark in the eyes of those in love, the magic of motherhood, and the beautiful chaos of families. Every session is an invitation into a world and emotion, where documentary-style storytelling meets free-spirited artistry.

My Approach

As a family and portrait photographer, my approach is a balance between thoughtful styling and creating a space where you can simply be—candid, comfortable and at ease. Through our emails, discovery call, and every exchange in between, I take the time to get to know you, learn about your vision, your story, and what matters most. You can expect empathy, attention to detail, a calm presence, and photographs that feel true to who you are. I strive to be someone who makes you feel relaxed—whether through gentle direction or playful sounds to keep little ones engaged—while also bringing the professionalism that assures you’re in skilled hands (and eyes!). Comfort is the foundation of our session, and it’s through that ease that we’ll create a smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable experience.
